SWARG Welfare (Social Welfare and Rural Growth)
For over two decades, SWARG (Social Welfare and Rural Growth) has been dedicated to transforming lives, building stronger communities, and shaping a more inclusive and sustainable society. Established with a purpose-driven approach to address the social, economic, and developmental challenges faced by marginalized groups, SWARG operates at the intersection of compassion, professionalism, and grassroots empowerment.
Registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. 42386), SWARG is a legally recognized, not-for-profit, voluntary organization. We are also proud to be registered under Section 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, allowing donors to receive tax benefits and reinforcing our commitment to transparency and accountability.
Since its inception, SWARG has been on a mission to create sustainable change at the community level, especially in rural and underdeveloped areas. What began as a small group of like-minded individuals has grown into a respected and influential organization managed by a team of professionals, social workers, development experts, and field practitioners with decades of hands-on experience.
At SWARG, we follow a participatory, community-led, and rights-based approach to development. We believe that people are not just beneficiaries of change — they are drivers of change. This belief guides the design and implementation of all our interventions.
Our Journey : From Vision to Impact
Since its inception, SWARG has been on a mission to create sustainable change at the community level, especially in rural and underdeveloped areas. What began as a small group of like-minded individuals has grown into a respected and influential organization managed by a team of professionals, social workers, development experts, and field practitioners with decades of hands-on experience.
At SWARG, we follow a participatory, community-led, and rights-based approach to development. We believe that people are not just beneficiaries of change — they are drivers of change. This belief guides the design and implementation of all our interventions.
Our approach includes:
Needs Assessment and Community Participation: We involve local communities in planning, prioritizing, and decision-making, ensuring that our programs are need-based and locally relevant.
Capacity Building and Empowerment: From training women in income-generating activities to helping farmers adopt sustainable agriculture practices, we focus on building long-term capacities rather than offering short-term relief.
Partnerships and Collaboration: We collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, educational institutions, corporate CSR units, and international development organizations to amplify our impact.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Every initiative is monitored closely, and outcomes are assessed using measurable indicators. We use both qualitative and quantitative tools to evaluate our work and adapt where needed.
